PS3 Cheats Title – Dragon Age 2
Infinite Gold and Experience:
Note: The following may only work in the unpatched version of the game. Complete any side quest that does not activate a cutscene while receiving your reward, then save the game. Draw your weapon, and approach the NPC. While your character is putting away their weapon to talk to the NPC, rapidly press X to get unlimited money and EXP. You can keep doing this until you move your character. Repeat as desired.
Note: The following may only work in the unpatched version of the game. While in Kirkwall, there is a quest in the chantry called “Sister Plinth’s Remains.” While returning her remains to her brother, do not move; this prevents the exploit from working. Just keep pressing the button to turn over the remains and the brother will keep giving you the reward. Note: You find the remains in Darktown in the top right corner of the map. They are surrounded by a bunch of soldiers.
Infinite Armor Points:
With Hawke and Aveline, equip, un-equip, and re-equip a shield. Your Armor stat/percentage will constantly increase. Repeat this until your armor points are maxed out.
Infinite Ability Points:
You’ll need access to the Black Emporium and enough gold to afford the Maker’s Sigh potion which resets all Ability Points/Attributes. Hawke’s unique preset skills mean that when you use a Maker’s Sigh potion and save, the preset skills will be always be filled. Perform the following steps to easily gain ability points:
1. Use a Maker’s Sigh.
2. Save your game and reload the file.
3. Examine your Ability Points; you should see the amount removes plus Hawke’s preset abilities. For a Rogue this will be 4-5 points in the fual-wield tree.
4. Use another Maker’s Sigh to add those Abilities to the Ability Points. Repeat this as many times as desired as long as you have the potions, just make sure to save and reload the game each time.
Sir Isaac’s armor:
Create an EA account then link it with your PSN ID. Play Dead Space 2 and log into your EA account. Exit, then play Dragon Age 2. The armor will appear in the special delivery chest at your house.
Prequel bonus:
Have a saved game file from Dragon Age: Origins to unlock the Blood Dragon armor.
Recommended party configuration:
You should have a damager, tank, entropist and healer. This will ensure you have one member taking all the damage and bringing the attention away from the rest of the party. Have an entropist (Merrill is recommended) to weaken and demoralize the enemy, a healer to strengthen and maintain the party, and a damager to inflict the pain. This will ensure a well rounded party that covers all aspects of combat.
Dead Anders stays with hero:
Play through the game with a relationship with Anders. At the end of the game, choose to kill him for destroying the Chantry. In the end scene where Varric says that everyone had to leave the hero, he will say, “Everyone, of course, except Anders”, even though he is already dead.
Buffy The Vampire Slayer easter egg:
During one of the dialogues between Anders and Isabella, Isabella mentions that abominations are easy to escape because they make loud noises like “Grr Argh”. Anders refutes, saying “Abominations to not go Grr Argh”. During the ending credits of the Buffy The Vampire Slayer television series, Joss Whedon’s “Mutant Enemy Productions” credit screen shows a little monster which says “Grr Argh?”
Jade Empire easter egg:
During one of the dialogues between Fenris and Varric, Fenris asks Varric “Who is Bianca?” When Varric tells him it is a crossbow, Fenris says that he must have named it after someone. Varric replies, “Nope, Mirabelle was taken”, referencing the rifle owned by Sir Roderick Von Fontlebottom The Magnificent Bastard from Jade Empire.
Sir Mixalot easter egg:
Take Isabella to the desire section inside the fade. A demon will seduce her with the prospect of a boat in the harbor. When Isabella turns on you, she will say “I like big boats and I cannot lie”, referencing Sir Mixalot’s “I Like Big Butts” song.
The Mask easter egg:
During the “Prime Suspect” mission when you meet Mr. Dupries, have Varric in your party. Give the sarcastic response of letting Dupries talk his way out the situation. Varric will make the comment “I bet 20 silver it’s ‘it wasn’t me, it was the one-armed man'”, referencing The Mask when Jim Carey tries to defend his innocence when he gets captured.
Wizard Of Oz easter egg:
In your home, when your mother says that her children should be nobles now, your uncle says “And if wishes were poppy we’d all be dreaming right now”, referencing the Wizard of Oz.
