A deal with the devil is never going to end well, and Dante’s Inferno is set to show this through a path of nine individual circles of Hell, each packed full of unique and equally vile monsters and some properly gory combat. Essentially Dante’s missus made a pact with Lucifer that her husband would return safely from the war of which he was a part, on the condition that he stayed completely faithful to her. His eventual betrayal led to her eternal spirit being confined to Hell, unless of course Dante himself could fight his way through the darkness to…

The all-new fighting game MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) has finally hit the shops over a year after it was first announced by EA Sports. Despite lacking the star names of the sport, MMA features fighters known from Strikeforce, Dream and nearly every other big name involved in the discipline (with the notable exception of the UFC fighters). However, the absence of these fighters shouldn’t deter you from playing this excellent game. Visually, I think the game runs UFC very close, with the fighters and battle venues rendered in incredible detail. The pre- and post-fight cut scenes are great and really…

To state the obvious, Green Day: Rock Band is a fantastic title for fans of the band Green Day that enjoy the Rock Band game franchise. Those that have never really appreciated the punk rock trio from America are unlikely to be converted, but even they couldn’t fault the game that certainly introduces more than an expansion in the form of a few new songs. Although there are no particularly novel innovations to revolutionise Rock Band as we know it, Green Day have certainly injected their unique personality into every ounce of the game, in a similar fashion to much…

Despite the continual popularity of cricket as a sport to watch and play within the UK, games of this ‘gentleman’s pursuit’ have often failed to thrill us. Aside from the sense of satisfaction as you smash the ball out of the court for a ‘six’, the pace of the game is generally slow, and any accurate replications have undoubtedly found that difficult to cope with. The launch of International Cricket 2010, strangely timed in the midst of the 2010 football World Cup, has been understandably overshadowed. Is this new title, the successor to Ashes Cricket 2009, exciting enough to put…
