On its face, FIFA 12 is a stunning achievement in sports gaming. Not only is this particular title a historical watershed for the series it is also extremely beautiful and so realistic that you might think you’re actually participating.
For fans of football games (soccer, if you’re in the US), FIFA is really the premier choice. Sure there are others, but only FIFA has the gameplay, features, and fan base required to take it to the next level. In other words FIFA is to football (soccer), what Modern Warfare is to the fps deathmatch.
But enough about that, what is it that makes FIFA 12 such a great game? Aside from the incredible graphical improvements that have been added, electronic arts has also added three features which greatly enhance the gameplay in FIFA 12. They are; precision dribbling, tactical defending, and of course, the player impact engine. The precision dribbling will be the most welcome addition for most players, as it allows you to truly control the ball like never before. Don’t worry, nothing’s changed for the worse, these three additions are actually big improvements to an already awesome gameplay formula. In other words, even if you absolutely loved everything about FIFA 11 and couldn’t foresee any improvement upon it, this title (12) will change your mind; yes, it’s that good. However, if you can’t (or simply don’t want to) adapt to these new features you can still utilize the older system of play, thanks EA.
From amazing graphics to new levels of personal control, FIFA 12 is a marvelous example of how a game franchise can evolve in amazing ways over the years. This is a title built upon experience. The simple truth of the matter is that FIFA 12 reigns supreme in nearly every regard, and those gamers are serious about football (soccer) gaming will absolutely love everything about this title.
