Little Big Planet is a brand new game released by SCEE and is exclusive to PS3.  Little Big Planet isn’t your typical puzzle-platformer game and is probably one of the most creative games of all time.

In Little Big Planet, the player controls a character named Sackboy who resembles a rag-doll and can be seen on the front of the games box. Players are able to explore a number of pre-built levels and environments which are imaginatively put together. Creativity is a huge factor in Little Big Planet; players are able to design and create their very own objects and levels, which then can be played online with friends! Sony has dedicated much effort towards the creativity and customization, and every new level stimulates your imagination.

The game is composed of eight differently themed worlds where each world has its specific style, ranging from African savannah to the Mexican dessert. Every world of Little Big Planet has about three to four individual levels, which can be finished in no more than ten minutes. You can also receive a race or a bonus challenge by finding various hidden keys in each environment. As you progress through levels you will collect or unlock items. These items include decorational tools to customize levels, down to items that you apply to your doll.

The creativity lays stress on personalization; you can dress up Sackboy (Little Big Planet’s mascot) with hats, jackets and different costumes in each level, thereby adding a personal touch. You can even handle the expressions and emotions of Sackboy by using the D pad controls. The PS3’s motion sensor can be used to move both the head and hips of your character at the end of levels.

The music combineds well with the narration, and is impressive and catchy. The music is adjusted according to the changing themes, environment and levels.

The graphics in Little Big Planet are remarkable, but some issues with the multiplayer camera view are a minor setback.

LittleBigPlanet is an extremely fun puzzle-platformer game with stunning graphics, not to mention the most extensive level creation tool I’ve ever seen. The biggest feature for me was Little Big Planet’s online community that’s rapidly growing and bursting with creativity. If this isn’t the best game on PS3, then it’s close.
