Tekken 6

Tekken 6 will be the next installment in Namco’s popular 3D fighting series that will be available on PS3, 360 and PSP. The PS3 version is expected to be released in September 2009. Tekken is a well developed series which offers the best one-on-one 3D fighter experience available.

Tekken 6 will keep many of the good elements found in Tekken 5 and Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection. The stages will be made bigger and gameplay will be more interactive and the character customization feature will be more involved with gameplay.

The game will include over 40 characters (including six new ones), 4 characters are available in the demo, which include Jin, Kazuya, Zafina and Bob.

Bob has an uppercut that reaches far and is safe on block, a low that leads into high damage combos, and an array of pokes that are incredibly difficult to interrupt.

Leo is the androgynous character that we all thought was a guy who looked like a girl, except Leo turned out to be a girl after all. Great character with massive combo damage, although her mid/low game isn’t as good as Bob’s.

Miguel is a good mix-up character with oki mix-ups to boot. One false move and you’ll find yourself in the air against this guy.

Zafina is the most difficult to use of the new characters, and her unique range of motions conjures images of Voldo from the Soul Calibur series. Sorry, she doesn’t shake her hips… At least not yet. Most of her moves are unsafe on block, making her a very unpopular. Her win pose where she slowly crawls on the ground is a sight to see, though.

Azazel looks like an enlarged deer that had a really bad day. For the Berserk fans out there, a resemblance to Nosferatu Zodd would make more sense. With an arsenal of crazy moves and a size that makes True Ogre look like a chimpanzee, I had no clue what was going on when I was up against this monstrosity, and I got killed pretty quickly.

Graphically Tekken 6 will deliver a breathtaking visual experience, especially when combined with characters moves. Fights will take place in huge interactive 3D arenas that actually play on a 2D plane. One funny new stage allowed you to knock sheep all over the place.
